Equation of State Modelling Laboratory

The Equation of State Modelling Laboratory is an online repository of thermodynamic data and model parameters for the development and application of cubic equations of state. It brings together pure-component parameters, α-function coefficients, binary interaction parameters, activity-coefficient model parameters, and related property data in a unified and searchable platform for thermodynamic modelling and phase-equilibrium calculations.

This repository is intended to support research, education, and computational implementation, with emphasis on transparent model definitions, traceable literature sources, and direct comparison among established and newly developed equations of state. Because many of these models also form the basis of instructional thermodynamics and separation-process calculations, several resources naturally overlap with the ChE Education Apps section of this website. Interactive tools such as VLE generators and related teaching applications may therefore be housed under ChE Education Apps while remaining directly linked to the databases and models maintained here.
